Etiquette

Players are requested to observe the standards of etiquette as laid down in Section 1 on pages 11 and 12 of "Rules of Golf" and to pay particular attention to the sub-sections 'Pace of Play' concerning slow play, searching for lost balls and 'Care of he Course'.

Health and Safety on the Course

All members are reminded of their obligation in regard to Health and Safety when playing golf. Bearing in mind the ground conditions, no player should tee off before the match in front is well clear- second shots to the green should not be played until the green is clear. All wayward shots and those in misty conditions should be accompanied with the warning shout of "Fore" should any player be in the likelihood of danger- If in doubt, SHOUT. All members should be aware of their responsibility to ensure the safety of others. Any member witnessing dangerous play should draw the attention of the offender to his actions and remind him of his obligations.

The course will be closed in foggy conditions or if members safety is at risk. Remember, if you cannot see far enough ahead to play your shot, stop playing and advise the organiser/professional.

FOR SAFETY REASONS NO CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OF AGE MUST BE TAKEN ON THE COURSE. CHILDREN OVER 8 YEARS OF AGE ARE TAKEN ON THE COURSE AT THE PARENT'S OWN RISK. The Club cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury sustained whilst such children are on the course. This does not apply to Junior Members.
